i was there

i was there, in a baby dress
i was there and left a mess
i was there, standing all alone
i was there, to grieve and moan.

i was there, when i broke with friends
i was there, shaking greedy hands.
i was there, for a tale to tell
i was there, on the road to hell.

i  was there, when she locked the door
i I was there, when she graved for more.
i was there, when she cried and cried,
i was there, when she jumped and died.

i was there, watching the mockingbird
i was there, sometimes unheard.
i was there, with too much booze
i was there, with nothing left to lose.

i was there, in a foreign land
i was there, to take command.
i was there, in the morning dew
i was there, when my dreams came true.

i was there, on the mountains high
i was there, almost touched the sky.
i was there, in the snow and ice
i was there, near paradise.

i’ve been here and i’ve been there
to escape or time to share.
i searched for a sparkle in the dark
and i stayed for while to leave a mark.
